hahaha rand, are u gonna use it in every thread?
- MrD0
i admit i have to agree with qruies or what ever his name is..
- tommyo0
I agree with qruises assessment and I'm tired of the wankery blow popular style out your ass approach to design. Stylists are just biters of the current style, provide little 'solution' for any client other than making them look current.
With that said: I still wouldn't have posted about it on a message board.
- planet010
please...
there is nothing wrong with following sylistic trendy trends.
this stuff is printed and forgotten about - it's made to sell trendy, stylistic products anyhow.
all design can't and shouldn't be fine art.
- tommyo0
That's the beauty of opinions. You have yours and I have mine. Which is why I don't usually post on message boards. Opinions can't be changed on a forum. Just doesn't happen.
Have fun with your rainbows and deer heads...oh wait...can't put those in the portfolio anymore, they're passe.
;)

the style which maybe trendy at the moment is not well executed
- ********0
- tommyo0
Well that's kinda the point. A) it's not the style anymore because all the 18 year olds pinched it from Anderson. B) It's easy to see how to make a 'style' but most of these leeches can't execute the style as well as the original author.
So with that in mind, why not focus on creating real value through unique and different approaches to visual problems? People can copy ideas and dilute you if you're a 'stylist,' but they can't steal your ideas and processes if you focus on developing those.
Makes sense to me. But whatever.
- tommyo0
Nice Morilla! Both of those just made my day. I really like that paprika site, I remember their old one...I believe it had vegetables on it? Very unique.
- Mimio0
lol. That's their process, to steal it and to not push the idea even an inch further.

Sometimes the client just wants ugly...artistic license goes out the window at that point. At least the man has work, which is more than I can say for me. To me it just sounds like yall drank a big ass cup o'hater'ade.
