What do you suggest, v5, a knife and fork?

i see the table/chair of 1 and 3, the placement builds the Q, yes but only seats one, how many cliques have one person? the shapes are so utilitarian, it seems to lack any life.
no group, no life, no fun

I say go hella Baroque with the Q mark. Like Ampersanderson said, there is a lot you can do with the Q. And if you put the logotype inside the Q, then a large Q is fine; otherwise, I'd recommend using a mark-to-logotype size ratio like #3 (which feels like a near miss by the way, the Q is not quite as high as the type.)
gramme
(Jul 11 07, 07:14)&Q mark in 3 is really nice just needs to be bigger.
4 might be OK without all caps??? and the joined up Q's could be used as a pattern??

I think 4 is pretty rad. I like the typography and the mark is cool too. Maybe too big, make the type bigger. The q's could make a really cool repeated pattern. I like it.

i'd say 4 w/o the dancing Qs above, The type is the only inspired thing.
material
(Jul 11 07, 06:14)Yup, I agree here - though I'd like a little more liveliness in the type - it's a bit rigid and flat.
I also kind of like the serif'd Qlique text in 2, but would be concerned for its fashionable relevance fading within a year or two alongside all the other voluptuous Bodonishness.

The lettering in #3 reminds me of Black & Decker, no?

I would say 2 is the best so far. The pattern approach of 4 has potential as well.
