I just got back from an 8 day sojourn to the PNW/Cali. Flew into Seattle then drove down to San Fran. I have to say that the drive has given me a new understanding and appreciation for America.
What an amazing part of the country.
I want to jump back in my car, grab a camera, and just drive around the states for a few months meeting people and seeing new places.

the exhaust is good for the foliage that beautifies that area

of any place that could compete with the beauty of utah, colorado, or the glacier region in idaho.mt, that would be it. i demand sunset pics!
- paraselene0
officially, idaho is in the pcnw!
;)

so what was your route? What did you see?
- jaylarson0
further proof of my ignorance and the region's majesty.
- paraselene0
haha, i just carp away on it because nobody over here knows where idaho is and they think it's by ohio and iowa and don't realise that it's stunning mountains!
- jaylarson0
yeah. i got to get to the sawtooth national forest. i read that it would;ve been a national park but they didn't want the crowds. just stunning.

yes, it's brilliant, and the payette river as well. i really miss that part of the world. the hood river valley and columbia gorge, too, which is where i went to uni.
nice to have some pcnw appreciation!

Took HWY 5 from Seattle to the 101 and took that all the way down the coast to SF.
Went to Cannon Beach - lovely area. And the Sand Dunes were amazing!

I'm thinking of doing this very same trip towards the end of summer (when Seattle hasn't hit rainy yet and it's a bit cooler in SoCal) ..I5 down PCH to San Fran.. hit me up with an email or something if you wouldn't mind Jevad of some places you really liked, stopped at, etc.

indeed...... also... get your butt over to the east coast and make your way up into VT, NH and Maine... preferably in the Fall...
... this definitely is a beautiful country. :)
- Rand0
I would love to do that, too

I've also been noticing recently that all the people I respect ont'internet seem to come from up that way too - all the bright sparks seem to come from Portland, OR (or Idaho, of course, Para ;)
Heck, it's practically Twin Peaks country, isn't it? That's got to be a good thing.
