I think I'm going to bypass touchscreens alltogether and go with newer regular phones. I'll tell you that Blackberry Perl looks really nice, hell even Samsung BlackJack looks nice.

the samsung is.... well a joke. just use it and see. the pearl is a nice concept, but BB blows in what it costs the user to use 'their' own services and true data- not worth it IMO. the pearl is also maddening to use for certain body types- ie fingers, hands. may sound funny, but if you have even 'medium' sized fingers (wtf does that even mean??) then it is hard as hell to type correctly. i can see and have experienced exactly what Bakka says.
i have a touchscreen now that also has a slideing keyboard. it is def nice to have both, but the touchscreen makes battery life pretty miserable. unelss you shut the screen off altogether... which i do when not using it at the moment.
