that company used to have some killer fucking tees (like 4 years ago).
then suddenly, the selection turned into the junk you find in the fake-vintage section of a JC penny's.
then they completely removed their "mens line" and switched to complete trend-whored womens clothing only.
and now their website is defunct.
good job ok47. good job.

"then they completely removed their "mens line" and switched to complete trend-whored womens clothing only."
go figure.
c'mon man, that is how it always happens!
the problem is most guys care about sports, beer and sports.
sad + true=women's clothing selection*6 > men's clothing selection/10

pshh, yet now theyre squandered for business.
lesson learned. simple, cool graphics silkscreened onto a tee (read: not vintage vectors of old ford pickups and big lips) will sell to a niche market. drop the market, and well, you suck.

(Jun 25 07, 19:07)Hmmm...there is still more guys' stuff out there when it comes to clothing by graphic / illustration designers - at least online.

i wasnt trying to imply its trendy-whoreish to only do women's, i meant that all of the women's clothing was trendy as hell.. superfluous floral crappins.
- Jaline0
ok, that makes more sense.

they picked up some attitude after their success.
i once asked if i could pick up a shirt since i lived few blocks away.
they said, "why dont u click on the site find the addess, u know how to click dont u?" than hung up
funny i didnt even ask for the address.
what ever happened to their design business?

design positions in the clothing industry are high turnover. sucks your creative dry. most clothing companies are trying to do more than their tiny art departments are capable of producing.
they probably had a couple underpaid creatives leave the company and it totally left them screwed for an image. art department rollovers are always so messy in fashion/ apparel.

horton, that sounds extremely plausible.
even their older websites kicked butt. much more style then, now completely gone (where's the giant mechs, the ballooney logo floating around..)

Helios are not what they used to be... too bad really...

I KNOW! The fabric quality went to shit fast too. The first batch of t-shirts was ace and it fitted nicely. :/
