//nice how they notified everyone who signed up to know when the new site went live.
i think it's fitting for the type of work they do. it's not some crazy interactive shop that needs an off the wall site. functionally, the site shows restraint, but the color sets it off a bit and give it some edge, surprisingly not too dissimilar from the work showcased.

why resize my browser?
why a pop-up?
that nav is pissing me off. way too fast.
the work is incredible though. why not just drop it on the index page, no pop-up, no resize? it's doing a few steps it doesn't have to do, that are widely considered web no-nos.

this is like when a bunch of insignificant turds sit around on the internet discussing whether some gorgeous starlet or model is hot enough for them

I agree, I'd prefer no pop-up and no resize. The yellow doesn't bother me. The work is great and the slideshow works well, especially as it's random and you don't have to sit through the same work every time. Not great if you know exactly what piece of Farrow work you want to view but overall it (the work) looks great.

My eyes are so fuckin sore now!
The yellow combined with lack of sleep and a weekend on the piss in London has detached my retinas and my helper monkey is now typing while I dictate.
I love the manics stuff tho had most of em when they were released.

Plus I like how when you click the images you get a description of the work. Very clean, very neat. Love it.

i these posts but am I right assuming that everyone else got fikked off with the screen resize and colour?
i quit it right off.

I'm gonna gdo my next site in lime green. Or shit brown, I haven't decided yet.

- hate pop-ups (especially when the entire site is within a pop-up).
- takes a long time to load
- navigation is weird the first time seeing / using it, but it's okay (I appreciate the attempt).Overall, there's isn't much to critique.

I'd imagine Mark Farrow will be crying all over his collection of D&AD pencils if he ever gets to see this thread...
...maybe some of you folks can tell him all about it as you go get your black pencil from the stage?

I don't think anyone is really blasting his work, infact every post is full of praise, it's just the style of the website, which I personally don't have problem with, as the way the work appears on the page is expressive and well thought out, and I like the fact that the information appears only if you dare to interrupt the sequence of quality work.
I can only imagine it's like the reaction to the 'Second Coming' by the Stones Roses, it took so long for it to be released that the media criticized it as not being any where near as iconic as their first album.
