every channel on tv is controlled by 4 companies. the morale of the story is no matter what you buy only a few people are actually profiting off it, the brand selections are put in place to give the consumer a sense of "choice"

i read you as saying that because LG made dishwashers, their phones would be inferior. Did I read that incorrectly?
I completly agree re: the brand-to-price thing- i too would not do this.
for the record, i do not care for the Prada/LG phone, but was more interested in your reasoning.

or worse yet, people DO know they are paying more for the label and do it anyway becasue they feel it gives them some kind of status.
