Yes, MTV too but the point is the trend has been set even before 2012 logo.
So?

I see version5 got the idea!
Phew!

What was the client's brief?
They wanted a logo which refelcts the city but not a consrvative way and a logo which is capable of engaging, especially young poeple.plamenskis
(Jun 7 07, 01:42)Did you see the brief? That was not the brief – at least do your homework.
the brief was to convey the four pillars of access, participation, stimulation and inspiration. culminating in the brand vision of everyone's games.

So you wanted me to copy and paste?
Well, thank you for doing that for me. ;-)

(Jun 7 07, 02:37)I want you to get your facts straight. You had no clue what the brief was.
Insulting people to try and win a debate is one thing. Making up information is just a plain waste of time.

I did have a clue and in a gist the two descriptions are more or less the same.
Engage is the word!

(Jun 7 07, 02:50)NO, you are exaggerating and wrong. They are not nearly the same. And instead of you having the humility to admit that, you are choosing to display the vast quantity of a clue you are lacking.

lol / aw man.
I submitted my quick'n'shitty logo to that Beeb thing/ but they stripped all the irony from my description.
I even signed 'In Sincerity'
http://www.bbc.co.uk/london/cont…I hope no one sees this...

..or, perhaps, I'm just not quite as amusing and witty as I think I am.
lol!
No, that's crazy talk.

Kelpie, if you can't see beyond the irrelevance of the graphical execution ...

(Jun 7 07, 01:56)Now i'm lost.
If you see Kate tell her I'm with the Others.

i like yours nairn. and the doilies would make simply smashing animations.
as for the rest of you, quit bitching!
- Nairn0
Why thank you, vespa! I think doilies would make smashing things for many an occasion - in fact, i think they should become the next 'net fad - a perfect way to put 3 years of flowery ornamentation to bed.
Go, Wrinklies!

(Jun 7 07, 03:44)wait...you watch the show? Post more in the Lost thread next season!

i've been sending out demo cds wrapped in laminated doilies since 2004, nothing beats the power of the doily to signpost yourself as a designer for the people. but i never thought of colouring them in. you are clearly a genius.
i say chinese teapots are the next net fad

I'm off to Spain in an hour for a wedding between two close Basque friends and I've bought them a traditional English teapot, tea-cosy, strainer and a variety of teas as part of their present.
I *can't believe* I didn't think to them buy a doily to boot.
I've let Queen and Country down.

perhaps you could improvise with a sheet of paper and some scissors and a crafty preschool snowflake technique

chin up Kate...

Crikey, I haven't done that in years. Nor the whole inflate-a- balloon-them-smother-it-in- newspaper-papier-mache-to-make jolly-comical-heads-thing, which popped into my head last night.
I want a workshop. Somewhere away from my flatmate's incessant TV schedule, where I can while away my hours reliving childhood art classes.
*snif. I hate being 30.
- vespa0
ah if only you could bring scissors on the plane, but hey i'm sure airport security would totally understand if you explained you were just cutting out doilies
