(Jun 5 07, 12:06)Telling someone they are on their ignore list sort of defeats the purpose of ingoring them.

skt, yes I am in school.

after carefully considering all options and thoroughly enjoying the ridiculousness of that logo, i have decided that i like it a lot.
i am still working on the reasons. expect to hear from me shortly.

damn he's ignoring me now?
shit, he won't read me flame his attempts at motion over at youtube
quality is not something exitmedia305 strives for so I can now understand why he is content with the new logo
making things move with ae does not make you a motion designer

(Jun 5 07, 12:08)well, a lot of us here are not.
we are out working, either for agencies, as freelancers or for our own companies. we can be a little abrasive sometimes, but there are a lot of people here that do know what they are talking about and you could learn a lot from them. so maybe just take a step back and listen.
i'm only talking about the pop thing by the way, who are we to tell you wether or not to like that horrible logo.

that stuff is beautiful

I respect my elders skt. But when a dude is talkikng to me like that I wipe my ass with whatever he says.
Furthermore I just did a whole project on pop art, pop fundamentals and the influence of pop art on pop music so the material is fresh in my head.
yeah, fresh. I said it.

I am with coudal on this one. I saw in the LondonLite on the way home an image of Clapham Common with the 2012 logo mowed into the grass (it was computer generated).
I reaslied then that its application was far more than what they presented. I just think the 'selling' of this with the really crappy video was really poor.

I've just spent 20 minutes arguing with my housemate about it and I think I've ended up defending it.
I might not like the end-result, but I think it's growing on me and I think it's 'better', all-round than the usual schlock that comes with these big events (at least, the thinking's better).
It was when he said "a stupid little kid could've done that" I thought.. "na - he couldn't". And it's true. Nor could I, in all likelihood - I'd've played it safe, like every other country has.
It's just maybe a bit too much 'too'.

I think you are using it in a different context.
Usually around here people say "it" when they want something to be visually appealing, contrasting, bold and graphically strong.
that's what they are referring to when they use it.

well they are all wrong imho
