plamenskis — it may be an idea that everyone can have a go at it, but that hardly helps strengthens the brand does it?

The logo has already done enough for the brand as it is all over the media.
I am amazed you guys cannot grasp simple things like that?!

Some of the best designers in the world in fact, have noted in this very thread their disdain for it.

(Jun 5 07, 05:18)you really don't get things like admiration, repect, prestige etc.?
so your stance is to have every logo to be designed shitty for the sake of media attention? it means you really let the media do the work instead of the brand itself. and that'll have fatal consequences in terms of historic reference in the future.
you sound more like a marketing twat then a designer, plamenski. so please return to your marketing dept. and think of how to ridicule the next big thing for media attention.

Your argument dictates that every logo should be poorly designed to gain a negative response and therefore free press????
What a world we live in!

I haven't read his posts but I doubt that's solely his point...

I've already exaplained it but hey I'll say it again. If it was corporate logo that by all means make look perfect appealing, powerfull.
But that's not the case here. The Olympics are free of advertising, so it is a good idea to free the logo from corporate cliches.
How's that? Clear now?

who said we encourage them to use "corporate clichés"??
stop assuming our opinions, intentions and work process, cunt.

(Jun 5 07, 05:33)honestly dude, i do not know you, nor have i read the posts in here after ~ 180, but that is a horrible argument. be it a marketing, strategy, design, or organizational perch; that is very weak.
