MAYHEM AND RIOTS?
- lvl_130
emo fanboys don't riot, and the only mayhem will be going on within their own heads...until the Percocet kicks in that is.
- 4040
im dying to see one in person.
- lvl_130
and by the way, the phone is fucking amazing. i just really, really don't want to spend the $600 +2 year contract for a damn phone.
how much you want to bet they will be offering them up for $50 with a 2 year agreement in less than a year?
the directions commercial with the pirates of the carribean/google maps really makes me want it.
i am a fanboy. nope. but shoooootttt....

I guess they are going to make thier June promise.

i so want one. can't wait.

those fucking shitty ass RAZR phones were upwards of $400 when they first came out weren't they?! Now you can't pay ppl to use em HAHA... I don't see the iPhone price dropping too far down after the first 6 months they're out. Maybe a $100-$200 drop, but then a few months after that it's iPhone Pro™ or some shit.
I have to agree, I'm really not down with paying $600 for a damn phone/iPod/browser, but yesssssh! that shit looks hot!
- Jaline0
I don't think I want to pay that much for a phone, especially since I don't care for talking on phones much nor do I want a phone that can do a gazillion other things.
But if I did have one I suspect I'd find myself using it often just to make up for the price.
- joyride0
I don't think the price will drop, when was the last time apple lowered the price of an ipod?
Plus, i think they will sell and sell well. 600 isn't that bad for everything it does, it's an ipod, its a phone, its a computer. Treos/smartphones are about 3-400... i just don't like cingular... my only issue

"The iPhone is scheduled to be released in the United States on June 29, 2007.[6][7] It will be available from the Apple Store and from AT&T Mobility, formerly Cingular Wireless, with a price of US$499 for the 4 GB model and US$599 for the 8 GB model, based on a two-year service contract. Apple has also announced plans to make the iPhone available in Europe and Japan at a later date."
I do need a phone, but I'll have to think about it. I wonder when it'll be available in Canada (probably the same time as when it's in the US?), and what the contract with AT&T entails.
- Jaline0
Actually, the Canadian one will most likely be with Rogers.

for me having email that works in sync with my mac will be the best thing. im often away for a few days at the beach and to be able to chek emails will be great.
i wonder if the US versions will work in australia?

(Jun 3 07, 21:54)I don't know where you've been, but here in the UK you're able to do this on pretty much any mobile phone.
- forcetwelve0
yeah i know that moth. i am more referring to the mail app on the phone and computer, instead of shitty nokia or blackberry interfaces.
- myobie0
i just want to play with a demo model
and i hope at&t get their act together in the next few years, right now i wouldn't consider them at all
- Jaline0
Yeah, I wish the iPhone was paired with more competent and dependable phone companies.
- madirish0
i heard canuck mobile phone companies are powered by kokanee-fed moose on treadmills. could just be a rumor though....
- Jaline0
That could be a possibility.

600$ for a telephone is ridiculous. I wouldn't trot it in public if I had one, unless I was rich in a richie rich neighborhood.

first release = no 3G = slow?
