I played the demo up to level 4 and I've got to say. The graphics aren't all that great.
- Jaline0
I have avoided it like it's a plague.

leveling is really boring. you just talk to some npc then to run somewhere, then collect something or kill something, go back and get xp. then do that like 1000 times, occasionally having to finding groups to go with you. And that's the game.

yes. It's the best game in the world. Can't stop... won't stop...
- Point50
There are more dimensions than just leveling, though, that is the core of it: PVP, arena tournaments, guilds, instance runs. The game is much broader than it seems at first glance.

Plus it has a fairly evolved economy... I read somewhere a gold farming company made 250 million u.s. last year selling wow gold online.

I have been sober for about a year now, but a friend sent me and invite to play again for a week. Arghhh, it brought the itch back! grrr
- sikma0
how much time a week would you guys spend playing?
- Point50
I play too much, relatively speaking (34 yrs. old, kids, wife, job), yet I still can't find the time to do the fuckin 4 hour+ raids that my guild runs on a daily basis.
If any of you play, I'm Destromath/Horde.
70 mage, 57 hunter, 39 pally, 36 rogue, 23 warrior, 18 warlock.

I made fun of my sister's fiancee when I woke up at their place to go to the bathroom and he was in the kitchen ... playing WoW, haha. And what sent me over the edge is that he was apparently flying somewhere that took 10 minutes .... to get somewhere else to do something.
Apparently it's addicting because my other friend who is married is enthralled with it, and my other friend who just got hitched is .... drum roll .... back in the thick of things after a year of not playing.
So ... I will never play it.
Until I apparently get into a relationship in which I want to kill myself and will do so by playing the biggest virgin game ever.
- I've seen a friend do that, just a winged creature flying for 45 minutes to catch up with the guild. Idiotic!mg33

Back when I was raiding it was 5 days a week / 4 hours per... that was just raiding. Add to that preparing to raid (suck), farming materials for potions etc., and that time really adds up. I don't want to speculate on how much of my life I've wasted on that damn game.

HAHAHHA, fuck you flavorful. I started playing this 'virgin game' when I was single, working at a nightclub and actually going out all the time... and yes, I had my fair share of not so innocent women in this timeframe. I'd usually come home around 5a and play for about 3 hours while in a drunken stupor.
At the same time, you are correct. Now that I'm married with children this game has an even greater appeal. Seriously, come 930p, I have the following choices:
• freelance work
• watch E! network
• play Warcraft
