You like?

I can't judge the label without knowing what's inside. you know, design is about content... pls send me some bottles and i'll reply asap.

j/k.
props for the red/white degrading diff on the logo. but i think you interpreted it too literal.
red wine sells more on winter and white wine sells more on the chilly season. i would reverse the logos.
people look for more colourful brands in winter, etc.

screw cap?
I know a bunch of wine is going to screw caps... for me, those are tough to buy, even though I've had some good wine that came in twist offs.
But I like the label, looks nice

Screw caps actuall keep the wine better than corks - it is a perception thing. Like box wine - there is some great wine in boxes.

pls skip my remarks above. My english failed me.

i like the label but i question the quality of wine from a company whose styles include simply "red" and "white".
- blaw0
nice presentation on that first image, by the way.

nice work. =)

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I actually didn't know that about red being preferred in the Winter. I don't drink much white wine, personally, but that's an interesting tip.
re: Screw cap. 10% of wine is "corked" because of bad corks. A lot of wines are going to screw caps because of this issue. Tattenger is considering switching to rubber corks for their champagnes, as well.
I haven't actually tried the wine yet. The tasting is in Brooklyn this weekend, where everyone will try it for the first time. I'd definitely encourage everyone to come. Free wine, and it'd be good to meet everyone.
These flavors (Feliz Red and Feliz White) were developed by Darrin Seigfried, President of the Sommelier Foundation of America, so they're going to be pretty damn good. In reference to the comment about having "one red" and "one white", please note that this is their inaugural launch. These aren't just red and white, but "Feliz Red" and "Feliz White", which is a specific brand and flavor. There's more information about this on their site. They're already working on two others, including a Meritage.
Anyway, thanks for the feedback and the kind words. Anyone think they can make it on Saturday? If so, let me know and I'll send directions/info.

Is this the re-branding of Donaghy Estates Wine?
- Crouwel0
very nice. not too fond of the full justification of the text on the backside though.
- era4O40
Is it Donaghy? or Dona-hee?

hahaha

although my point was lost, i assure you white wine sells more during the summer, and red wine is preferred during the cold season. it has to do with the food.
at least, around here it does - winter/summer are very contrasting seasons and people tend to have heavier/hot food/drink in winter and lighter stuff in summer
- era4O40
I'm not sure what you're suggesting or how that matters. The company isn't selling a season and the bottles shouldn't be designed for your regional weather patterns.

"red wine sells more on winter and white wine sells more on the chilly season. i would reverse the logos."
Around here, winter is the chilly season.
The red wine DOES have a more colorful logo. A warmer one. The white wine has a cooler palette (as it's served chilled).
I'm sorry, Witt, but I'm afraid I don't understand your critique.

(May 8 07, 12:06)and there is where Witt stepped into his own mess....
i actually thought that is what you were referring to at the beginning, Witt, but you positioned it very wrong, IMO.
while this may be true in one region, it is not an absolute. for instance, in California where the average temperature is 67F and there is more wine produced there than almost any place on earth, the temperment of people's 'seasons' is *far* more blurred than say, oh,..... Porto.
:)

i normally drink a nice read with corn pops and a white with captain crunchberries.
maybe you should incorporate that into the logos?
jk. really nice work. i think the logos work perfectly for red vs white. nicely done.

thanks kona.

well, let me grab my dinner and i'll be back to this interesting discussion.
btw, it's 20ºC here at 10pm. Kinda hot - meat is cooking and a bottle of white pt douro/oporto wine is on duty.
i'll get back to this thread, if i can find it...
