    at least, around here it does - winter/summer are very contrasting seasons and people tend to have heavier/hot food/drink in winter and lighter stuff in summer

    i actually thought that is what you were referring to at the beginning, Witt, but you positioned it very wrong, IMO.

    while this may be true in one region, it is not an absolute. for instance, in California where the average temperature is 67F and there is more wine produced there than almost any place on earth, the temperment of people's 'seasons' is *far* more blurred than say, oh,..... Porto.
