look at Daniel Eatocks channel four bill boards..
C4 have really strict ad guidelines that dictate the channel four logo position has to be dead center on the right in a colour specified by them, etc etc
he made the basic guidelines and then designed around them

How about trying to find a creative way to use their brand guidelines in a fresh and non corporate way? When you encounter a limitation, why not use it?

So this is one of those 'think outside the box' projects that marketing people are always telling me about?
Well why the hell didnt they say!
Nah seriously, these projects suck and Im just wasting time by trying other things (which I did, to no avail).
Ah well.

that corporate guidelines suck donkey balls. I did banners last year for a major multinational who underwent a rebranding and did said banners according to their guidelines and was told they were too corporate.
Fast forward and Im doing it again. Different company. Corp guidelines are brand new and dictate so much and there is an image bank of new photos to go along with it. I just dont know what value I can add to the project cos its pretty much been dictated to me what to do.
Anyone else get like this and just feel a bit, 'meh'?
