Hi guys, would greatly appreciate constructve crit on this webpage.
http://www.jystdesign.co.uk/woof…
Few issues im unsure of atm:
1)designed on 1600x1200screen, looks great but not sure what it's going to look like on smaller screens.
2)Used PNG's and have a fix for IE6, hope it's viewing OK.
3)Client wanted simplistic, fun, funky feel. How I gone a bit too simple????
Im really just at the art-direction stage on this and will be presenting this to the client as a concept at the w/e.
Only the 3main offers link at the moment.
Would really appreciate some feedback as im in the studio on my own today.
Thanks all,
Oh, and have a good weekend :-)

should really use system font on the menu.
and they are tad small
- HumanMale0
I like.
The png's are a brave move, look good on Safari here though.
The logo reminds me of lego, not sure why though...
- MrD0
why use pngs when you got good gifs and jpgs to use?
- Jaline0
yeah, it does kind of remind me of Lego too.
Looks nice :)

menu text on left is fucked on a mac - way too small
- mg330
Size is fine.
It's "faq's" not "faq\\\'s"
It's "copyright" not "copywrite"

also where it says
"fixe line no's"
i would type out 'numbers'
it fits in the line.. and tidies the line up
also the top right phone # is looking a bit jaggedy?
and also
try making the speech bubble triangles more consistent
im generalli a fan of the triangle u have used below..
use the same shape for the other three?

looking pretty good!
my tuppenceworths...
exactly what oldelpaso says..
for me, the drop shadow under VOIP needs looking at - it's too far and/or too blurry. also, i think it should be flat white on the inside.
i also think the bg on your three main shouts is a bit flat - a light gradient might go well in there.
i'd also consider making your brown bits browner.
and a wee bit more space in your footer.
shouldn't it be "FAQs"?
- Nairn0
actually - what point the 'VOIP'?
have you considered using a bit more text to surmise the product on offer before the 3 main selling shouts?
- ldww0
you should look into getting rid of the flicker when you mouse over the 3 bubbles for the first time.
i also don't like the tan > white gradient background. it feels dirty to me.

(Apr 20 07, 09:49)very gd point.. after looking at the aesthetics i realised i had absolutely no idea as to what the whole business did...
is it a dog callcenter targeted at women and girls?
or dog friendly mobile phones...
the paragraph describing it is greatly overshadows by the dog and the offers.. it has no emphasis...
think about hierarchy

i always get a bit weirded out giving aesthetic n practical advice...
keep expecting someone to go..
"what the fuck do you know studentboy!!! piss off" :p
but i mean those changes in the most contructive way possible :) :)

it is FAQs, not FAQ's
FAQ = Frequently Asked Questions
not
Frequently Asked Question's

Yeah thanks for all the feedback guys, im going to take a good look at it tomorrow and rework a lot of things.
I am glad you guys talked about establishing what the products was.
The intention is to build a flash background so that instead of VoIP we have a summary of animated sentences, about the product proposition.
Im gunna start building that tomorrow , but don't work in flash very much.
I like what was said about using a gradient on the offer boxes. Maybe applying this and taking out the brown grad will make things more crisp. I am afraid without the brown grad the sense of depth will be lost but il see how it looks.
Many thanks for all the feedback. Till tomorrow.

Looks good, the boxes at the top disappear for a sec on the first rollover, not sure if it's a feature or a bug. i'm using Firefox on mac.
