ahahaha, I checked out Google Maps on how to get from me to you, and apparently you or I would have to swim across the Atlantic Ocean for 5,572 km and it would take 30 days and 1 hour.

P.S. Witt, you need IM

it doesnt matter really. whatever does the job done. i mean..css sites are great if you can do them. but if you cant...are you going to be left behind? probably not, most clients have no freakin clue. well small businesses..

Jaline is a standards tease and you love it (thankfully I'm happily 'engage'd... otherwise, I'd be writing her sweet sweet css love ;)'
Although as I said in the car on the way home with m'lady... 'I heard a few girls talking about code at FOWd, and it was a little repulsive' especially when trying to talk up to a bunch of geeks when no need to;
o wel

Don't worry, I only talk about code when someone asks me. Otherwise I try not to say much, haha.

Tables... suck.

v5 always has a great line about why it is better to use tables, I meant to write it down last time.

We spent months developing our proprietory CMS just before CSS came into vogue. It would cost us thousands and thousands of dollars in development time to rewrite the thing and at this stage, it just isn't justified. We're a small business and can't afford to change.

(Apr 20 07, 03:18)these are 2 of the most well-thought out, and correct reasons for not constructing a proprietary CMS....

Using tables for layout simply tells me you're an amateur web developer.
It's an incorrect use of the language to construct a site - it will not be "coherent" to machines - only to you.
It's like the American take on English. It's just wrong.
- paraselene0
there are a whole generation of developers who have never used tables at all.
jaline and myself, for instance.
and more and more every day. it's an obsolete and ham-fisted approach.

I was j/k Rand. I know you know.
Witt
(Apr 19 07, 16:36)no, I really don't

maybe there is an upside. Maybe by waiting till now to learn I've saved myself a bunch of unnecessary learning. Or maybe I should just stick with my smattering of flash, since it's more compatible with more browsers?

I think Ricky Henderson should do what's best for Ricky Henderson.
