The only entertaining thing about that fight was that we know know EXACTLY what the worst haircut of all time is:
Seriously, everyone I know said he looked like the Predator. It was like the scalp had mange or had been burned off, but the dreads, *cough, extensions, shined in all their glory.

mayweather definitely put on a fucking clinic. some of the best defense/counter-punc hing i've ever seen. truly amazing. that said, de la hoya should have won the bout because he is the champion and mayweather had to do more than that to beat the champion when it comes to the cards. mayweather didn't press once during the fight. when the champion is pushing the fight, its definitely wrong to award the belt to the challenger because he played good defense.
mayweather fought expertly, though. great technical fight to watch.

Mayweather was a pussy ass bitch, jumping around and just waiting for DLH to hit. And btw, if they had another round he would've gone down. DLH blew his head of in the 12th round what the fuck are you people talking about. If he stuck to the jab after 10th Mayweather would be down by knockout. Every time DLH tore his mid-section apart he was hurt. YOU flavorful, watch the fight closely. DLH didn't miss all the time. Mayweather was hurt more then once.
Again, Mayweather showed skill no doubt (afterall he's not a beginner) but the decision was not fair. To be a champ you need to show force and initiative as well as tehnique IMO.
And no, he didn't dismantle him. How he bitched and threatened he turned out to be a little pussy. He avoided the answer when one of the reportes asked him "What went wrong when you said that you willl destroy DLH".
Rematch will happen and I say Mayweather down by KO in the next fight.

DLH was slower than molassas in the winter. there will be no rematch, Mayweather beat him pretty well regardless if the Golden Boy judges gave him a split decision..

Larry Merchant was AWFUL. Just because you've commentated on boxing before doesn't mean you're still relavent.
Besides sounding drunk and half asleep, he showed no emotion and asked such inane questions in the post-fight.
During the final comments, I just pictured Ben Stiller's charecter in Happy Gilmore standing just out of camera range tapping his watch and saying "Let's go gramps! Back to the nursing home NOW!"
