...how the f**k were Americans allowed to bastardize a rare British cult classic with such a shitty sequel.
If indeed we needed a sequel, why could'nt it have been Finnish people...or North Africans that had found the way to the UK?
Why can't you just leave off....

huh

...yup

Uh, hate to break it to you, but 28 Weeks Later, the sequel, is a British picture.
- coulstring0
...erm, my point was why should it be the US that comes stomping through.
...US actors, US agenda, US plot, US marines on the streets of London, US etc etc etc...for once, just once, why can't it be about someone else? Why not the original cast escaping to Norway or something....no...we get US warplanes and CGI explosions over London.
...US Blockbuster crap, might as well called it Outbreak 3 and had a star role for a monkey.

..because thats what the writer wanted to do to tell his story?
- letters20
I'm with Bottlerocket, this was the writer's decision. Plus, might I remind you that the US film market is where the bucks are – and while 28 Day Later was amazing, it didnt have a huge market success in the states.
That being said – there shouldn't be a sequel.

why are you even imagining for a millisecond that the sequel to this film would be anything but utter guff?
when will people learn? sequels of this type, to films of this type - which are NOT american originals - are made purely to make a cash cow out of something that received a modicum of cult exposure in the states. end of.
they are ALWAYS shit, you should ALWAYS avoid.
- coulstring0
I agree...there shouldn't be a sequel.
...and yes, it's up to the writer. Shame the writer had no imagination what so ever...
- kelpie0
or that the writer needed to write the sequel to a formula rather than an authentic idea.
surely the production team is more of a driving force behind a cash-in anyway, no? this'll have been written to order
- coulstring0
...yes kelpie, couldn't agree more.
...just needed to say it.
I just don't get how we ended up accepting recycled stuff...whether it be movies, music or fashion.

(Mar 29 07, 02:00)Is it the same writer as the first one?
- sofakingzero0
I agree... they should have the new formed Iraqi army swoop in and save the day. Al-Qaeda could also get a piece of the action....
... yeeeeeeeeaa
anyway I'm happy zombie movies are coming out, 28 days is sooo cool because these fuckers are fast, they totally break the rules.
Franchi SPAS-15 with a bag of amo please :)
- kelpie0
don't accept it! don't give them your money! ;)
shame isn't it, I hate these bastards - thing is they help pay for all the really good little original movies that come out, its a feeding chain...

the trailer looks okay until you get to the generic plot device insertion of "experiment gets out of control" and the expolsions start.
- Bottlerocket0
Is there a cop that doesn't play by the rules but gets results?
- Bottlerocket0
what about an agent thats fighting against the system that created him?
- Dancer0
