THat header area is WAAAAY too big...half the screen is taken up before I even get to any content. That may be the usability/IA wanker in me talking - but it really is just using up too much space...

Yeah...
1. Cut down top of apron.
2. Make logo smaller
3. Move menu into either side of ribbon area
4. make ribbon smaller

i think by dropping the apron aesthetic as a layout altogether, and having the logomark speak to this will;
1-strengthen the brand and how it is placed/recognized
2- allow more modular design schema for the site layout- keep the bow
- loose the apron feel to layout
- re-reverse the header area and make it a black apron on white, w/ pink and illy accents
- set all primary nav in helvet, bold, Titlecase, 21px, tracking= -50 maybe?free yourself a bit and the design will tighten up.

honestly, just take away that white space that is right before the content. push the content up, make ribbion thing go over content just a little and then i think its money. money. money. money. money. money. doggie.
