i think by dropping the apron aesthetic as a layout altogether, and having the logomark speak to this will;
1-strengthen the brand and how it is placed/recognized
2- allow more modular design schema for the site layout- keep the bow
- loose the apron feel to layout
- re-reverse the header area and make it a black apron on white, w/ pink and illy accents
- set all primary nav in helvet, bold, Titlecase, 21px, tracking= -50 maybe?free yourself a bit and the design will tighten up.
