It seems to have worked. Now I just need to install CS3 and see how it goes.
I was frightened all my info would be gone after the cleanup (since they warn you several times beforehand) but nothing happened.

i'm waiting for a volume license to be released for CS3. i installed the "final" but i don't think you can upgrade it when stuff comes out from adobe.
