morilla - you should be criticizing the people who are religion-basing just as much as flagellum.
- mrdobolina0
morilla: you could say the same of mimio and mrdobolina with political threads. Why would you single me out?
flagellum
(Mar 22 07, 11:59)These are the ONLY threads you participate in, Ned.
- mrdobolina0
You aren't having a good day, bible dude.
- flagellum0
mimio: I know no one who believes that. Can you tell me who does?
- ********0
I guess thats my point. If you participated more in other threads I prolly wouldnt care. It just seems like you are the Jesus Police, and that is what turns people off in the first place with religion.

Its beautiful outside, how about we all enjoy some fresh air? Then back to the laughing and working.

morilla
(Mar 22 07, 12:02)ding ding.
Politics changes daily, flagellum. Your views are static. Big time difference.
- flagellum0
note how mrdobolina, knowing that the facts are not on his side, descends to his usual name calling and attempts at intimidation into silence.
Doesn't work on thinking people, toughguy. ;)
- mrdobolina0
Ha, you are a hypocrite!
I stated my facts, tell me where I am wrong. Arent you suposed to always tell the truth or something?
- flagellum0
morilla: I'm not interested in turning people on to "religion". I have no use for religion. I'm interested in culture wars. I'm interested in challenging caricatures... and there are a lot of them flying around here.
- Mimio0
Are you being coy intentionally?
The very sites you link state this as a Christian belief. As well as my personal experience with Christians, it's common knowledge.http://www.answersingenesis.org/…
http://www.christiananswers.net/…

mimio: because I link occasionally from AIG does not mean I, or all Christians, hold to their views on everything. They are Young Earth Creationists, I am not, neither are many Christians. I take a Framework view of the creation account. Primarily because God is not confined by space and time like we are. These are creations. Concepts we use to live our daily lives. We can't help but understand things in a chronological sequence.
Having said that, I still find many YEC arguments compelling.

liar.

You know, it's funny..for all of flagellums calls not to "pigeon hole him"..um, chrisians self identify as "christians". I'd assume that'd be the box you'd check off on a form, my flagellum-y friend as self descriptive, no?
I'm not quite sure what I believe, but he quite happily lumps me into a "secular humanist", which isn't neccessarily a term I would use as self identification. I have never called myself a "secular humanist", nor have I called myself an "athiest". I have used "agnostic" and "spiritual seeker", but never "secular humanist." And he uses it as a term of underhanded derision to boot.
Nice.

been fun, folks. Have a lovely afternoon!
- Mimio0
Way to dodge the question. Do you believe that or not?
If so i'll have to inform you that the Bible is in direct oppostion to scientific fact in this case. It's plainly stated for anyone to read and interpret as they will.

flagellum
(Mar 22 07, 12:13)How convenient for you.
- flagellum0
I have never called you a secular humanist, blueOne. I seem to recall guessing once that you were a classic Deist and that you agreed at the time. It's one thing to use terms to describe a person based on how they describe their own beliefs themselves.
- TheBlueOne0
And lemmy, I still disagee with you - fundamentalism - as a societal/tribal reaction to certain sets of adverse conditions - can be a temporarily successful evolutionary survival mechanism - although over the long haul it is a net negative.
