(Mar 13 07, 04:32)left side = dark scary figure in the distance. in the foreground is a close up of a girl's hand clutching what appears to be mace.
right side = dark figure is closer and in focus, turns out to be a handsome young guy. Same foreground angle of hand but hand is opened to reveal listerine portable. "There when you need it"

I like That concept for the female version, but I'm not doing the female version, although I could definitley see it working.

As I wrote in the post this is targeted to a male virgin 17 year old teen who desperately wants to get laid
where was that written?

" I agree that the fact that it is portable isn't a big deal as all breath prodcuts are, but that is the brief i have to stick to . "

(Mar 13 07, 04:37)I thought the brief was to do a good piece of advertising?

I thought I had put in that bit about him being a nervous scared of girls virgin type. My apologies.
Picture a scared 17 year old virgin
someone like Cameron from Ferris Buellers Day Off.As far as the comment about doing good advertising, I agree and that's what my aim is. But it's a class and we were told to stick to the brief that was developed (not by me) so I really have to make sure I convey portability.

are u sure this is a class project or you are just trying to get advice and tips for scoring with teh girlz.
- ibye0
Funny OSFA , but yes it's a class project

(Mar 13 07, 06:01)Well if you have to, then you have to. But that sucks. I would only cover off portability in a cursory way (like in copy) and concentrate on another idea that makes the ad better.

Thanks _salisae
Bottlerocket I couldn't agree more and regardless of what I end up with I
I plan to bring up the fact that the brief made this assignment alot more difficult.

Gucci
(Mar 12 07, 22:50)As a constructive bit of criticism, I think people at that age are REALLY worried about what other people think of them. those are some super self-consciece years.
I totally agree with this Gucci, that theme ran through some of my other ideas. Myabe I should go and look at those again.

the whole point of the brief is to provide a challenge .. bringing that up is going to make you look weak. just solve the problem at hand.
and the fact that it's portable is a reason to buy .. you don't want to drag around a bottle of listerine. why they'd chose it over gum is another point to ponder.

Useful site for you perhaps.

What if it was done in a first person shooter style. you would see an open hand, and on the left side there would be an inventory consisting of all portable objects: a phone, an ipod, keys, wallet and of course listerine pocket spray would be highlighted.
In the middle there woould be 3 girls talking. One of them would be coyly looking at the viewer over her shoulder.
and on the bottom left there would be a health bar reading 100% and next to that it would say lives -1
tagline- Spray it then say it.
