I think the serif font will do the job perfectly. But it needs some finetuning. Maybe you can look for a seriffont that's a little more "designed", if you know what I mean. You can find some nice ones here:

Have you seen Cartlige Levene's business cards. Sample simple principle but the execution and copy was perfect.

Print is key for minmal stuff. I'd recommend GF Smith colourplan and foil blocking.
