but the thing about it being over-the-top and goofy, that's what i was talking about. it's like, the analogies and the writing are so crap, you don't really want to be letting this guy throw too much pop psychology at you, cos he's kind of a numptie.

I have been reading Fragile Things by Neal Gaiman, a collection of short stories. Pretty good.

agreed. i lent it to a friend of mine and he's like, "what's with everything being compared to heroin? he's all, 'it's as bad as heroin! you might as well be doing heroin!' what an asshole."
of course, the dude was doing smack at the time, which not only predestined him to dislike the heroin references but also significantly lowered his odds of successfully quitting cigarettes.
i never asked for the book back.
