We agree what is art by entering ourselves into a contract with the artist, in a fashion dependent upon the environment in which we wish to consume it.
Everything else is just design.
Or shit.

why should i give it a second thought?
this Thomas fella has spent most of his 49 years studying photography and developing the concepts he found within and no doubt there is a narrative that connects ALL his work and not just these pixelated pics.

(that it appears to be crap). it may well of course when fully studied not be crap at all, it amy be wonderful...but I dont think thats can be established at this time and given the evidence before us... next case!

all Dominic has done is lob some toy soldiers into a bowl and melted them down a little...
but you get the 'message' almost immediately, his concept is very lucid and simple, and as a result easy to translate.just because we may have a little difficulty tackling work that's more obscure and amiguous doens't make it crap.

I fink Yoko Ono is one of the best conceptual artist EVA, and one of her woks was a series of prints with text that gave people instructions on shit to do like:
"Imagine the clouds are dripping
Dig a hole in your garden to catch them in"It was the inspiratio for Lenon's song Imagine. Tho lennon's song was shit, Ono's work is fucking great. Well some of it.
Whislt at the same time, most of what Andy Warhol did was shit, except his series on death.
Spend some time away from your Ferrari's and maybe you'll appreciate it a bit more.

no i can't, but i was at an artworkshop the other day making "balloon cities" inspired by Ono, then we floated it down the canal. That was fun.
But that "nudes" stuff - god i hate shit like that.

i did this thing when i were 16 where i took all my credit cards and id cards and library cards and HMV dicount vouher card, and Youth Hostelling Internaional card and all the cards in my credit card wallet and stuck them on a canvass and framed it and called it "self portrait". and stuck it in my common room in school.
No one appreciated it tho, and someone tried to use my credit card to order porn off the net :(

Here he was, an artist, sat chugging away at some poarn one day squinting his eyes as he rapidly approached enlightenment when the "epiphany" hit him in the face.
Hence he pays tribute to his inspiration by including the very first images he "came across" or "found in the internet" as part of his series.
Wanking, gentlemen, I'm sure you'll agree is an artform.
