Heya folx...
this has launched - but I'm weeks and weeks away from getting all the super-fun content into this sucker (video... much much more imagery)...
... I needed to get the 'new look' online to coincide w/the some client-driven marketing... I tested the hell out of this... I still find a lil bug here and there - but I thought I'd have you all take a look..
... let me know your browser and OS too...
... crit the hell out of it.. :)
thanx.

i like it a lot, maybe let the next background image load whilst the former is still there.... don't go the brown background everytime

Beautiful. The Site Plan section is really great.

That is really rather tasty ponyboy. Nicest thing i've seen posted in the pvn for a while.
And given that it's for a fucking gold course... *tips hat.
only thing I would say is the photos let it down in places. 3 works really well but the rest are a little, meh.
and I like the fade back to brown between changing.

agreed on the brown background/image loader... I'm working on layer two mc's to work back and forth loading images for the 'next' image...
... the siteplan is stilll a lil buggy... but thanks, mimio! It's 100% xml driven... gathers all it's data and activates buttons etc based on that xml... (took some time to work out... and still may have some bugs... I'd love to know if you find any!!)

That nav on the bottom is super smart. I really like that.
Congrats.

nice, great imagery.
personally, i detest text that's been crammed in a narrow column like that when the rest of the space seems somewhat wasted. i know it showcases the imagery, but it still bothers me.
also, i can't stand music that launches right away...it's the first thing i turn off, but i get how it could be used to set mood etc.
i dig the background of the menu :)

Nice work!

Good stuff, Pony. I am liking that navigation interaction. Maybe it can build up when the site loads. I say that since some folks might miss it down there. I think breaking away from top or left side nav sometimes requires something to make it obvious.

very nice! as all have said already, the subnav pop with the hills is very smart and clean. love it!
the map pretty jumpy for me. i know you said that it's a bit buggy. it's really hard to actually get the mouse to the right section of property (all the ones i'm interested in haha. as if i could afford that!) but i'm on dual/dual g5 using firefox.

kevin, where did you get the current AZ weather feed from, sucka?
nice work again, playboy.

slow and choppy, a designers site designed for designers not the end user.
are the transitions frame based or time based? as they feel a little frame based.
i think the bg images rotate out too quickly and too often.
this is an excellent site for the wrong client methinks.
again great execution.

not a fan of golf but i'd love to walk around that course
very nice site
congrats
- PonyBoy0
v4... it's all time based... no onEnterFrame stuff either...
... it's an image-driven site... thus the full-screen flash execution...
... appreciate the ... confusing comments though... :)
the choppiness is happening due to some dynamic tweens fighting w/... alot of content...
... I'm still working on it.. :) I've got a diff. solution that should make the bckgrnd imagery interval stop hogging resources so other stuff doesn't get so choppy...
... and yeah... the siteplan is version 1.5 of what will probably be V.... 4 when it's said and done. :)
thanks everyone.

to summarize,
great site for idiots i doubt will be able to use it to its full extent

dobs... i'm just parsing some xml from the NOAA: http://www.weather.gov/data/curr…
fortunetly - the state I needed had the feedz i needed -
... you can also use yahoo's weather feed - it xml 2.0 or something though (maybe I'm dumb - probably)... but I couldn't parse their xml... thus I used the NOAA feed.
