where are you staying?
are you comming with your family?
is this business or pleasure?
how long is your stay?
what do you want out of NYC?
what things have you heard about seeing in nyc your whole life?i ssay go take a tour of Radio City Music Hall, Empire State Building,
goto the roof of the General Electric Building, go walk into every lobby of every building you can and take a gander at the archeture and the art deco styling in general, walk from midtown to downtown, in the business financial area of midtown has some esuper fantastic interiors that honestly from outside you would never know, take a trip to Harlem and see the Apollo Theater...its dope!! if the weaather is ok, visit the Bronx Zoo, if you like classical music the 92nd St YMCA has the most slammingest accoustics in the entire city for strings and horns, visit Long Island City and take a "7" train to Court Square [PS1] and "the 5 points" and see a lot of grafitti covering an entire building top to bottom, goto the Bronx and grab a camera and treasure hunt out the grafitti.have fun be safe keep your wallet in your front pocket and dont stare up...

haha, thanks edd-e, sorry i forgot to mention. It is a pleasure trip, I am going with family, (which kinda kills the whole graffitti scene) specially with in-laws, haha. I am staying in Manhattan, I think DoubleTree if I'm not mistaken. Unfortunately, we had a last minute change of plans and will only be in NYC for 4 days, because we're going to Virginia also to visit more family. I know 4 days is not enough... :(
What do I expect? very-fin'-thing! haha, good food, great art, impressive views and lots of fun. Is that within reach?

lots of walking in NYC, wear comfortable sneakers or shoes.
tourist info NYC SUBWAY
http://mta.info/metrocard/touris…learn the NYC Subway map, or at least skim thru the area stops that you will be in.
MAP:
http://mta.info/nyct/maps/submap…you have children correct? take them to see FAO Shwartz right next door to Apple Store just under Central Park.
maybe goto Ellis Island Statue of Liberty, though i would say it would be kinda cold over there, but its the Statue of Liberty.
goto Time Square but leave as fast as you get there, i guess its cool to see al lthe chaos but its too crowded and there is only but moeny tourist traps in there, unless you are seeing a broadway show, or visiting TOYSRUS[6floors i believe with roller coasters inside] other than that take your piucs see the lights and go somewhere else, its funner and cleaner and safer and better...
Carnegie Hall is also a nice place to see for its Archeture, 57 Street i believe. Lincoln Center is also nece to visit as well. try also to visit all the old Churches in NYC as you can.
go visit the Giant Airplane Carriers on the wst side. the boat with all the dope gi-joe planes. i ferget what its called.
:)

Go to Grimaldi's Pizzeria just over the Brooklyn Bridge.
http://www.grimaldis.com/brookly…
In my opinion, fantastic pizza (New Yorkers will argue this, but seriously, it's pizza; no reason to argue for 10 minutes about who has the best "pie" in NY). Just take some time to stroll over the bridge from Manhattan to Brooklyn (watch out for the insane bike dude), make a u-turn under the bridge and go to Grimaldi's for some great pizza. Then pack up and walk back over. Great exercise, great view, great pizza. And I'd suggest getting there either right before noon to avoid the lunch rush or around 2p after it's calmed down a bit.
But I'm from Las Vegas... what do I know...
