next weekend my nephew is coming by with the ps3, between that and the psp I am really going to see what everything can do.

haven't read the rest of the responses, but when i have used a psp (several friends own them) it has been a snore.
i mean if you want email and online then maybe. not sure haven't used it for that. but if you want some portable game thing, just buy a damn gba sp. or mini (or whatever that really small one is called).
the thing is tiny and has great games. you can get it for dirt cheap and the battery life is forever.my 2cents. and it probably ain't worth shito.

last time i used my PSP was lastyear and i was playing Katamari...the battery died on me in the middle of a game but i know if i charge the sucker up i can continue without any time passing in the game and years can pass by...

I have a 256 meg stick and I have crammed a 90 minute movie on that stick before for a train ride.

Ive downgraded my PSP to 1.5 so ive got pretty much every game there is on the thing, and there all pretty crap!!!!!!
there are a few gems though
no one has mentioned syphon filter yet, good game!
MGS:Portable ops is ok, pissis me off after a while tho, parapper the rapper is fun, I could go on...obviously you can play all the emulators like someone said, gameboy, snes, megadrive etc etc...
but now you can play all the old PS1 games, again it adds more to the PSP, like resident evil games and FF VII
but remember the PSP is not ment for emails, nor can it accept telephone calls, yup its not a mobile phone!!!!
movies are really good quality and good size, like someone said you can fit a whole TV series on a 2GB mem stick, been watching monkey dust and nathan barley.

looks good, but you need an internet connection/wifi to use Skype???
so why not use your Mac/PC???
to use Skype?still it adds something new and useful to the PSP
