games & movie aside....
hows the use of this thing on the web......can you write emails, if you check your gmail;let say???
and I'm hearing that the PSP 2 will be coming in spring....any links or does any one advice waiting??both games and movies! :-D
any info or your thoughts on the PSP would be cool!

wait for the psp2.
it will have much more functionality and some of the bugs/gripes will be worked out.
like a damn low battery icon... not a blinking light 10 seconds before the battery shuts off.
haven't done the email thing on mine but movies and music on it have been great.

I want to go slightly mobile with my stuff, I'm iving out of a suitcases and feel even a laptop to way me down.....have you used a PSP for real.
ANYone suggest staying away!!
its no XB360 or Wiii of course but a kill time, devices.also how big are movies(gigs?) usually. also, does it sync with MACs good??

If you utterly NEED a PS2 on the go, with the vague hope of occasionally watching a movie on something the size of your hand, then by all means - go for it. But it really is a waste of space - I've tried to love mine, but it's sat at the bottom of my drawer for 5 months now, and I've no compulsion to do anything with it.

Actually, I'll confess - I've not even bothered trying to download stuff for it - does that still need to be done through the ps3? (!)
That might redeem it's worth somewhat. Maybe.
You should probably know I'm slightly bitter towards Sony recently, what with their lacklustre PSP development and general PS3 shoddiness, especially where Europe are concerned - I guess I hoped for too much from them :(

I know where you're coming from (I hated the 1st DS when it came out), but I've got more from Mario Kart online and bloody Dr. Kawashima's Brain Training in the first 2 months I had it than I've gotten from my PSP in the, what, 18 months/2 years it's been out? (I got mine before they were released in the UK)

i love my PSP. I ride the bus into work everyday and love playing it.
My wife got it for me so I wouldn't spend so much sitting in front of the TV at home playing PS2. I take my PSP everywhere especially when we go shopping. I love it. And the lack of functionality with the web isn't so much a concern for me. When we're out and about and need to get at the internet, I use the browser of my phone bc its usually to get a phone number or address or directions and I can check my gmail with it too.The games I am playing right now are GTA:VCS, daxter and FIFA07 which i am totally addicted to. even NCAA06 is fun with all its flaws.
I couldn't imagine not having my PSP.
