Had just under half a tins of beans from yesterday to finish.
Toasted some white bread.
Left grill on.
Lots of butter on one side of the toast and put it back in under the grill to melt it in and 'fry' it a little - goes crispy!
Heat up beans in microwave.
Spread beans onto the toast.
Put slices of cheese on top of beans and covering any trace of toast beneath.
Put back under the grill to melt the toast.
Eat.

I made a slow cooker short rib stew yesterday, so lunch is a mug of the extra broth.

- Out of curiosity: smoked beef in Australia, what can you compare it to? Something more dry-cured like a ham, or closer to, say, smoked then steamed brisket likeContinuity
- ... Montréal smoked meat or pastrami?Continuity
- Missed those, sorry Continuity - it’s essentially pastrami but with a bit of Aussie food wankiness on topMrT

Kapsalon is a fast food dish created in 2003 in the Dutch city of Rotterdam, consisting of a layer of french fries placed into a disposable metal take-away tray, topped with döner or shawarma meat, covered with slices of Gouda cheese, and heated in an oven until the cheese melts. Then a layer of shredded iceberg lettuce is added, dressed with garlic sauce

hoegaarden & pan grilled pork loin
- I have an interesting and potentially troublesome spiral fracture around one of my two Hoegaarden pint glasses after pouring boiling water into it.Nairn
- Was using it as an ad hoc sterilising receptacle for baby-related shit.
I've had that glass for over 20 years.
Six months later *fingers crossed*Nairn - ^ That’s going to go if you keep using it, I predict. (I’ve done a bit of stained glass work, that’s my excuse)MrT
- ..a year on from the above, so 18 months after it happened, and that fucking glass is still holding on. My other Hoegaarden glass now has a crack too though :(Nairn
