never had it either, it makes you hallucinate if you have enough.

it is fine. this stuff will not make you hallucinate, as it is much more pure, and not nearly as strong as what was had, back in the day.
it kind of tastes like a mildy flavored grappa, or the like. pretty chemical on the tongue, weird flavor on the finish.

it is the stuff of lore that would make you hallucinate. almost entirely because it was so inconsistent and unrefined.

i had a turkey sandwich at home. it's the "hormel natural" deli turkey. my wife and i had a turkey sandwich yesterday using this same turkey and to me it tasted "farty." That's the only adjective that really fit the taste sensation that i was experiencing. i was not able to really taste the subtle fartiness unless i breathed while a bite of the sandwich was in my mouth. my wife said that her sandwich was not farty. we determined it must be the mayo, since she had no mayo on her sandwich. so i through out that mayo and today used a brand new jar of mayo... still tasted farty. i do not recommend Hormel Natural Roasted Turkey Deli Slices... unless you enjoy eating fart.

it is wormwood that gives absinthe its hallucinogenic qualities. as for the strength I bought my old man a bottle of 80% absinthe for his birthday one year, doesn't get much stronger than that :)
