I sometimes miss working at a big place when you can go to another department's bathroom and cause a Level 5 evacuation with your toxic waste.

we have tons of washrooms around here.
I remember when my university made washrooms unisex in the 70s, ahhahahahaha. Imagine that. And obviously they had to change it. Also, the Engineering building had to incorporate female washrooms after years of only having male washrooms because more women were getting into the program.

the bbq thing reminds me of a work story that i'm pretty sure i've mentioned here... I warn you though, it's a gross one.
a few years ago when i was working at an exhibit firm in raleigh, NC, a coworker had pig picken' for their birthday over the weekend ("pig picken' is southern for a bbq where they roast a whole hog). well there were plently of leftovers and this coworker brought them in on monday for everyone to enjoy for lunch... which we did. Well apparently the leftover pork had not been stored properly and almost everyone came down with food poisoning. With pork related food poisoning it takes almost exactly 4 hours to kick in. Well sure enough about 4:00 everyone turned green. There were about 15 employees and TWO BATHROOMS! It doesn't take long to do the math and know that I needed to get the hell out of there. I lost it once on the way out and then got in the car for the 40 mile commute home. I went about 80-90 mph the whole time. White as a ghost. Sweating like crazy (even my legs were sweating). I had to pull over 2-3 times on the way. Well about 10 miles before I'm home a horrible reality set in. This wasn't going to be limited to vomiting (if you know what i mean). I floored it knowing that it was going to take all of the concentration I could muster to keep my backend closed tight and if I had to pull over one more time it was going to be a mess like I didn't want to imagine! Somehow I made it home without that scenario playing out. But my god that was a horrible afternoon/evening. One danger of food poisoning is dehydration. Well I was so sick that the water I drank never had a chace to get warm. It's a strange sensation to have cold water coming back up. Needless to say, no one came to work the next day.
Sorry, I warned you it was gross.

lol - yeah that was bad bad day. My wife (not at the time) worked there too. We refer to it as "the great poison pork day of '99"

holy crap (no pun intended either) I've had food poisoning twice after eating random things in Toronto and it's always HORRIBLE, especially since I was sharing a room with my entire family and there's 7 of us. So I was basically up all right throwing up, and everyone else was in a room trying to sleep so some of them (like my damn brother) were complaining about the bathroom light being on all night.
Anyway, everyone ended up being really mad at me for having the bathroom light on all night, but thankfully they soon realized that I was pretty sick.
Hotel bathrooms are nice, but not when there's only one.

We once caught a guy in the act of stealing a laptop from our office. He said he was returning it, that he actualy caught someone else in the hall with it and wanted to hook it back up for us. I asked him if he'd be a witness to the crime and he suggested we call the police. So we did - I remember him right beside while I was posting on Newstoday to see if anyone had questions for him... It was a long wait for the police...
When they came one of the police men knew him by name, he had worked with his probation officer.
