the bbq thing reminds me of a work story that i'm pretty sure i've mentioned here... I warn you though, it's a gross one.

a few years ago when i was working at an exhibit firm in raleigh, NC, a coworker had pig picken' for their birthday over the weekend ("pig picken' is southern for a bbq where they roast a whole hog). well there were plently of leftovers and this coworker brought them in on monday for everyone to enjoy for lunch... which we did. Well apparently the leftover pork had not been stored properly and almost everyone came down with food poisoning. With pork related food poisoning it takes almost exactly 4 hours to kick in. Well sure enough about 4:00 everyone turned green. There were about 15 employees and TWO BATHROOMS! It doesn't take long to do the math and know that I needed to get the hell out of there. I lost it once on the way out and then got in the car for the 40 mile commute home. I went about 80-90 mph the whole time. White as a ghost. Sweating like crazy (even my legs were sweating). I had to pull over 2-3 times on the way. Well about 10 miles before I'm home a horrible reality set in. This wasn't going to be limited to vomiting (if you know what i mean). I floored it knowing that it was going to take all of the concentration I could muster to keep my backend closed tight and if I had to pull over one more time it was going to be a mess like I didn't want to imagine! Somehow I made it home without that scenario playing out. But my god that was a horrible afternoon/evening. One danger of food poisoning is dehydration. Well I was so sick that the water I drank never had a chace to get warm. It's a strange sensation to have cold water coming back up. Needless to say, no one came to work the next day.

Sorry, I warned you it was gross.
