you posted a negative story about cops. then said all cops are great guys suggesting that cops actually aren't.
two minutes ago you were praising a nters father for being a cop in chicago that wouldn't tazzer a guy, now you're suggesting all cops are bad.
it's a gross generalization.
off the top of my head, aside from three of my family being police officers, i know 7 police officers, all good. but i'll be the first to admit there are bad apples in every basket.
that, is not a generalization.

it was cool. grew up respecting the police.
and, i have a ryan sandberg rookie card that one of them gave me when i was a kid. bet he wishes he could have that back right about now.

after a quick google search it turns out rural illinois is like la.

"Here in LA, we have the Kids and Kops program. Local LEO's have trading cards to hand out to kids - cards have LEO and athletes photos. Kids that collect a certain number of cards gain admission to an all-day program at the University with LEO's, athletes, games, etc. Target is primarily elementary school ages. Cops hand out cards during school visits, or a kid can approach any LEO to ask for one (they are told as long as LEO is not doing something else like traffic stop, etc. - it's OK). It's a huge annual event and very popular with kids."

I would do worse dobs, I have no pity for that clown, thing is the cops in America some of them heck I have no idea seem to be far too laid back and tolerant, in good old blighty (even our cops are too fucking laid back cause our goverment hold them back so much) if a kid or anyone is asked to do something and they resist they are told one more time to stop it and if they resist one further time they are over powered and thrown in to the van simple as that they can kick and scream all they want as they are being battered and shoved into that van, the thing that went wrong at the very beginning was the cops tolerating him more than once. I would have had him thrown down the stairs pretty quickly then tazored.

I'm coming in late, but as far as cops though ... I respect, and appreciate their decision to put their lives on the line for others.
Talking back to a cop is just stupid, just plain stupid. You may not deserve to get tazered, but you're an absolute moron if you are questioning their authority in front of a group of people putting seeds of doubt that they are not under control.
And that was probably this guy's main thing, there are lots of people around and he is in the position to keep the area safe, and it's not studies that show this ... it's a fat it only takes one person to make a scene into a riot scene and the result of tazering him seemed like a better result.

Christ I remember on etime out on the lash in Edinburgh I watched two guys trying to dick around with a couple of cops and things go theated the cops said one more time and your nicked one more time happened and they got bundled into the van not a word was said by the police the dudes were screaming and kicking it was over in seconds and the police sped off, you could see sort of blue lightning coming form the back of the van as they circled round us hoinking their horn as they roasted off the lock up.
