good call. you won't have to pay taxes on it every month like me. but then again, it won't keep you out of the rain very well.

congrats. i live in NYC and I won't be owning anything anytime soon.

congrats. I want to do something similar, however my accumulated student debt is taking priority :(

i am not able to buy a house, and will not be able to do so for the next decade.

having a house is fun. looks like yours is in good shape.

lol crouwel - that's exactly how i feel. Man, 6 years ago I didn't think I'd be in London long enough to warrant buying a house, now there's simply no way I could afford one.
it's beyond sickening when I think that that equates to nearly £40k.

neither monetary means, nor my criminal record will allow it for a while.

I thought I had a record but luckily when the government did a check before I was employed there I managed to be clean. I guess the officers felt sorry for me after all.
Anyway, that's a different story.
If I continue to work with the government full-time after I finish school it will take me a few years before I can save up money since I have to pay off my school fees first. But luckily I get paid more than the average student.

i bought my first house when i was 18. best investment i evern made for sure. nothing is finer than working on it, stoking it, and then reaping rewards for those efforts once you sell it.
