o rly?
I think I can live without it, to be honest.
But fried fish and breaded squid are nice to have once in a while.
- mog0
no, not really, it's bad karma to eat fish... especially shark! they will eat you up if you are surfing and then you will wish you hadn't eaten any shark.

imagine being japanse.
...watching part of your culture, among the healthiest in the world, fade away.
but, i suppose we'll be close to growing flesh in petri dishes by then...
something tells me it wont be the same.

I DON'T CARE because I don't eat fish. I consider myself a vegetarian on strike coz I did have a couple of steaks and ribs, but other than this I have not eaten any meat in like 3 years.
but on the other hand I CARE coz they look cute in cartoons, like Nemo for example.

Vector is a cheater ;)
I hate thick meat on burgers (so I primarily dislike beef) and I don't eat very much seafood, but I do love chicken, ribs, and salads. Obviously I couldn't be a vegetarian.

(Nov 4 06, 19:32)I know :o(
I did a fine good job for 3 years.
But what can you do when you go out with meat-eating friends to steakhouses? I did the right thing and got myself a big juicy steak with the traditional baked potato.I still feel guilty though, so I will go back to my real vegetarian diet.

hehe, it's okay.

I live in a fishermen village with four well stocked fishmongers on the pier.. still looking for the perfect New England clam chowder recipe, San Francisco style.

apparently it worse we can not eat fish anymore then the fact that the biological balance of nature is completely assraped.
- Nairn0
So true, Crouwel.
I'm kind of lucky here, because I've never been a fish eater, but I've always wondered at our industrial capacity for harvesting the seas - I mean, it's all hidden - how much did we ever know we were taking? What damage we were inflicting.
And then, to think of what trawling's been doing all these years - systematically scouring our sea beds for two hundred years - it must be like the Sahara down there.
Such a shame our world isn't infinite any more.

the UK govt. scientific advisors say that the threat to ocean stock is second biggest environmental threat facing humanity after climate change.......

either you are a fish eater or not, this is a big problem. today's ecological chain's getting destroyed by us. we truly have no idea how our destuction of nature will affect in the long term in many areas.

food web!

Why would you want fish on your deathbed?
I'd want scotch.

(Nov 5 06, 07:05)I agree..
this has nothing to do with people liking to eat fish or not. its a big problem, period.

then do you propose total abstinance from fish eating? that seems the best and apparently only solution. decreasing demand will slowly put fishnetters out of business.
- mpfree0
They'd eat us if they could. Look at Jonah. ;)
- TheBlueOne0
Damn fishmongers!!
