as an illustrator I love to do pro-bono work if I have the time. It gives me a chance to be really experimental with my style without the restrictions of tight briefs (!!)
and the last pro-bono project I did lead directly to me landing two really sweet gigs...

I am always down, as long as its really for the people, and not some political or religious cause, cant go wrong that way, Im starting a site called OneRaceOnePlace.com and Ill be asking for a lot of you guys to help out, Ill post something about it later this week, when im done writing the plan

I'm currently doing identity work for 2 charities. People I know work for them and always say stuff like 'my friend's a designer' I always take them on, partly because I can't stand to see some of the horrible design that they have to put up with.
they get a professional eye-catching new identity and I get something for the old folio, so I don't see it as working for free at all.
