Ok right, I must admit I haven't looked at the refuge site and they may well of been some reference to what they did in this post aswell (which I obviously have not read, 100+ posts is a lot to catch up on), I assumed they helped the homeless, hence the name "gimme shelter" - and that being a statement someone homeless may ask.
It was a take on process and production taken to the bare bones, and an immediate association with homeless people.
Anyway, back to the drawing board...

first kick at the can... I'm mildly drunk [ok, more than mildly] and ellie was pestering me most of the night so can't say it's great, but personally I haven''t been able to shake this simple approach oudamahead... I only think in systems now too, so a logo is never just a logo anymore.. blah blah bladdy blah blah...

the line doesn't signify shelter in a very general/simplistic sense to you without the photo?
Are you taking the piss? the strike through in the photo isn't quite that meaningful, just more of "hey, don't hit that woman" like a non-something icon...
