play, what's "staccato"?

Lovely, elms!
I'm torn between the first two - though i think i prefer the #2's type layout - but then I like #1, with the border too.
As for the central component - for me, it would depend on the style/theme of the music - #2 looks tinkly and frosty - #1 bassy and resonant.
Regardless - lovely.

it's classic and contemporary classic music - schubert and arvo pärt. i just wanted to do something with central typo, as i haven't done any for a long time.

(Oct 5 06, 11:51)It's when the music is marked by or composed of disconnected parts or sounds; cut short crisply.

I prefer the left justified type of 2, but visually I an torn between 1 & 2 the shapes that span the center are both very nice looking.

One is absolutley beautiful - if you print that one I will trade you a NT Mugs poster for it.

elms, those are gorgeous. i would stop and read them on the street, and probably buy a ticket as well.
nice work.

oh shit! we have to choose ONE of them?
well, in that case, definitely number one, but one and two are both stunning.

I love them all but #1 indeed!

i like number 1 as well. although the 'f' in the top-left jumps out too much for me. the rest of the piece is so well placed that that element just seems to float. is it something that is going to live there in the final product, or just your mark for comps? if it's a permanent fixture, i might try associating it with the text at the bottom in some cohesive way. in any case, if you end up getting it printed, i'll take one as well. seriously.

subversve, that "f" is the logo of company that organizes the concert, i guess it could be a bit darker so it would not jump out so much.
if that one is going to be printed, i could ask maybe some extra pieces but sending it to all the people, who want it, would cost way too much tho...
