whatever crit you get, do not take chossy's weak pick up lines seriously...
.... he tries, but the kid just needs help.
;)

haha, so chossy? what's your latest line? can't wait to hear it!
:)

i'd make your secondary links 'more about us' and such a point or two smaller. make them the same size as the text in the boxes.
the page feels a bit clunky. take a look here....

http://www.gate303.net/see how their shadows and gradients are nice and smooth, they flow very well. i know what you're trying to do with yours but it's not quite there yet, one more step to refine it and the page will be much softer.
i like the layout and you used the grid well.
keep pushing. it's almost there.

It's a nice layout for sure - but I do think you could balance the weight of the page out a bit more by playing with the type - and the colour of the type.
Especially with the headlines - Drop the all caps and use a lighter blue.
Drop down the 'more links' a couple pixels - don't use caps - and use a lighter blue still...
Hope you don't mind but I threw something together quick to give you a direction for some sort of type treatment:
Play around with the text and links. I would definately give the body copy some line spacing of 16 px or so...

Thanks! hugely appreciated...
back to tweaking for me!

welcome back to london!

very nice of you jevad.
good treatment of the text too.

I don't know about welcome BACK, this is my first time living/working here... currently on the job hunt. have a second interveiw with a company tomorow, hence the mad rush to get this design finished! is it common for them to ask you to design something to a brief as part of a second interview?
- madirish0
and to piggy-back on jevad's crit there- the largest issue i feel is how so much of the text is evenly weighted across the layout. nav to header text to headlines to pull-quotes, etc. it is very hard to discern a content heirarchy as it is laid out now, or w/ nic's.
also, the way you treat the 3 photos differently is distracting a bit to me. maybe pick one that works and paly w/ scale and size of the images rather than treating them all differnt? it might help reinforce your grid and thus the heirarchy.

Yeah - that too!
