So I got a couple of stiches last week that I need to get removed in the next couple of days or they may get infected. I don't have time to get away from work during doctors opening hours so was wondering if anyone has just removed them themselves and if so how i should do it???
I am not joking by the way...

i've removed my own stitches on 2 occasions. I used sewing scissors. nothing to it.

i've removed stitches and staples. stitches with a pair of sharp, pointed scissors and tweezers.
make sure you pull everything out.
then neosporin.

yes those are easy as well.
you're going to need a drill (with a 1/4" bit) and some firecrackers.

topical antiseptic. there must be something equivalent here, but i can't for the life of me recall the name.
and as long as the stitches are NOT in the roof of your mouth, you should be just fine.

you can pick that stuff up in any walgreens, jewel, target. shit. anywhere. even the gas station. and btw... it's gas not petrol you fucko.

I always do it, can't be bothered paying the Doc to do it, when I can handle it myself. Just boil the scissor before use, and put some vodka on the wound when you are done.
