either way, watching a movie on an ipod sucks, anything over 10 minutes makes my head hurt..
I have to say that I'm pretty hooked on zuma though..
that game is evil

Man with all this stuff .. When I was a kid I wondered if in the future we would have those transponders from star trek ..
Now we do .. and they are almost old news

normal, i totally agree with you.
i just bought this:
http://www.nokiausa.com/phones/8…and it does everything you said except for the weather. wish they were running flash lite on as the OS on this though... then I'd just write my own weather widget

For me, this Nokia is, the first device that does *everything* you could ask a pocket sized device to do. If you could pickup regular TV on it, i'm SO sold...

I love it when they put "carl zeiss optics" on portable goods...
its like fiat claiming "ferrari handling" on its hatchbacks.
*photos still look shit

I think I'll give it a miss thanks, it's nice that it's got lots of features but it's piss ugly.

Bahh...
I don't want a camera or a video camera on a phone. It is bound to suck. With all those options you get a mediocre result with each one.
I would like to see someone come out with a well designed, easy to use phone that just does the basics, alarm clock, phone book, sms, and email. And makes it fun. Forget all the other crap.
Better yet, make it so you can reprogram the entire thing and add in what you want and what you'll use. Want to see the weather report for the city you live in on your main screen? Build a widget for it. I've always wanted to crack into my phone and get rid of all the extra shit that's on it which I never use. Or reprogram how SMS messages are sent so that I don't have to go through 5 menus before sending one off.
The last thing most mobile companies think about seems to be usability. I have to go through 4 menus to get to my alarm clock, my most used function. Ridiculous.
First company to do this wins. It creates a product that will have longevity because you're building an open-ended platform that can evolve with the technology not show pieces that are self-contained bits of bodged work each time.

Apple would/will make their phone like that.
