'nice'
it's the one adjective i most flagrantly abuse, but i don't know what else to use without sounding horribly pretentious.

*bump and only because it seems to count as a valid thread response. Also obviously missed the cool boat on this one as I have no idea what it actually means either. What you hit your freaking head or something?

Antonelli & Turosanto - you forget that English speaking, mercantile nations are the birthplace of corporations as legal entities - where partnerships or companies are represented as individuals, with their (!) own legal rights and obligations under the government. This having been he case for many hundreds of years, it makes sense that they are referred to in the possessive.

(Oct 1 06, 14:23)that is because they cannot pronounce those words, shmartypants! japanese can only say words ending with a vowel.

"Let's resource what's happening in the community by donating money to the cause."
"resource" is not a verb. It is a thing-not an action.

(Oct 2 06, 05:28)Nope. They do it because they simply prefer to shorten words.
They can say "digital camera" in a japanese way which would be "dijitaru kamera" but coz it's too long they prefer to go with "dijikame", or go for "pasokon" for "personal computer"
With names it is because of what you said about being able to pronounce them.
