well the stereotypical liberal is seen as anti-war and almost at the point of defending the terrorists. Also, the liberals are seen as people that reject the blue-collar , middle-class, wal-mart going, overweight, family-oriented american. The liberls are too idealistic in many's eyes. The type of person that would get sweet talked into walking halfway down the plank to look at the pretty sharks, then get tossed in with the sharks.

Many of the Muslims have over-reacted, especially those who are trying to set churches on fire and are burning things. It only proves that they can be violent when they don't even know what the Pope was talking about and decided to believe the media instead. The Pope wanted to inspire a discussion about these readings.
At the same time, the Pope could've handled things in a different manner from the beginning.

Wrong link. Correct one is:

Pope 'deeply sorry' for reaction to remarks

It's funny how violence from muslim extremists is accepted and excused. They have a free pass these days.

I do agree that muslims will be the next major victims of hate crimes (as said by some scholars in an interview with CBC this morning), and another war may spurn from that. It's almost a reversal, in a way.

I would hate to see hate crimes as a result. That would infuriate me. I would like to see more real muslims speak against the violence. Like protests against it. major yelling about it. I don't see that at all. It makes me very angry.
