in inDesign, i kinda hate that the size of an object changes when you change the width of the stroke.

i wish both Illy and Photoshop could have the menus slip to the side and slide in and out. that is iSlick.

no, change the preference as suggested and the font menu will list as previews under both the menu item and in the type palette.
