Looking for some ideas on the next album I should get.
Got The Roots' "Game Theory", which is fantastic.
Also just got the new John Mayer album, "Continuum". Not even a fan of his at all, but it is a pretty good album.
Anything else I should check out?

Dir en Grey - Withering to Death
Iron Maiden - A matter of life and death... although the current listings here don't sound very metal. I'll just throw this up.
Less metal, more pop/rock ->
Miyavi - MVY rocks

I'm still rocking my 3 Feet high and Rising Europe 89 shirt.

(Sep 13 06, 11:11)I played that CD for my girlfriend on a road trip last summer and she had never heard it. She thought it was a brand new hip hop CD. Timeless Classic! By the way, How many times did the batmobile catch a flat?

the new citizen cope is pretty good, it doesn't sound a lot like his other stuff, but that's a good thing i guess. a lot of his songs sounded similar.

Was thinking on the way to work today that this may not be the best year for music, not like last year.
But so far lately I've been digging:
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations
Secret Machines - Ten Silver Drops
Dirty Pretty Things - Waterloo To Anywhere
The Stills - Without Feathers (will likely be one of my top 5 of the year)
Keane - Under The Iron Sea
Pretty Girls Make Graves - Elan Vital
And finally, the Tortoise Box Set - A Lazarus Taxon

richard hell and the voidoids - blank generation

I'll third The Roots - that album is just fantastic.

2006 has been a good year for punk rock.
The Draft (ex Hot Water Music) and The Falcon (members of The Lawrence Arms, Alkaline Trio, ex Rise Against) are 2 new ones I've been jamming to.
Also the new one by The Dears and The Mountain Goats are alright.
I listen to lots of other stuff, but I'm not as qualified to speak about it as other NTers may be.
