Flying home to Texas this coming weekend for my 10 year high school reunion.
Anyone got any stories from theirs? Hook ups with the guys/girls that wouldn't have given you the time of day back in the day?

went to my 10 year but it was so damn unorganized that it sucked balls.

i wish I would of went to mine. One girl is now a famous porn star and I heard she was all glammed out.
Back in high school she was the first female to be on the football team, caused a pretty big stir. Thing is she was a model a pretty cute. She stuck it out, but would get the shit kicked out of her every day.

it's all a bunch of 'who's dick is bigger' bullshit with everyone blowing smoke up each others ass trying to come off as the guy who invented post-it notes.

Mine is a little unorganized as well, they've got about 150 RSVP's and our class had 500 graduates.
I wrote to them while in Japan and suggested they put an ad in our hometown paper announcing the reunion to alumni parents and people who still live there, but they never did it. They pretty much just used MySpace, which is so narrowminded and lame.

one of the high points though - a guy that was obviously a homosexual while in high school showed up completely dressed as a female. Dress, weave, heels - over the top! He was currently living in Chicago and obviously having a wonderful life. I thought it was wonderful that he didn't let his small town upbringing keep him back. I talked to him more than anyone else at the reunion.

we were class of 91, and as far as i know, there's never been a reunion for us...that kind of sucks...
I'm lucky tho, that the crowd i hungout with back then all still keeps in semi-regular contact...all of us are doing well, and we see each other about once or twice a year, usually now to celebrate one of our kids birthdays or something...
and as one of my buddies said..
why the fuck would i want to go to a reunion, when the only folks i gave a shit about are right here?..we ARE the reunion..;)

the only cool thing that happened at my reunion was that i saw my ex girlfriend who dumped me by fucking my best friend after 3 years.
she was fat with 2 kids and her husband, my old friend, looked about the same.
felt very cool shaking his hand, squeezing pretty hard and hearing his knuckles pop. then i bought them drinks and mingled elsewhere.

we have a sort of a reunion each your a the graduate exhibition of graphic design in A-town.

mg33 - same thing at mine. invitations were sent out via "classmates.com" - and that WAS IT! No mailed invitations. And to really fuck it up the organizers did not get a license to serve alcohol. God damned idiot bible beatin' southerners!!!!

exador - I'm the same way with many friends. At least 20-30 people I was good friends with in high school, we all still keep in touch, know what's going on in our lives, go to each others weddings and such. So, after the reunion on Saturday night, on Sunday we're having a barbecue for our particular group of friends including people that were not in our class. Should be fun - it will probably really make me miss how many of my friends all live near each other again and it's kind of back to being like the old days.

yeah stubru! hahaha.
also a girl showed up to the reunion that no one remembered. stunning. absolutely stunning. turns out she was one of the real un-pretty clarinet players in the band. after seeing the yearbook i remembered her and i chatting all the time in band (yeah you fuckers, i was a band geek, make fun of me for it and i'll skin your face off).
she pretty much was like fuck you to everyone there but we had a great conversation and she thanked me for being the only one in high school who ever talked to her. kinda cool. my girlfriend (now fiance') i think wanted to tear her eyes out but it was cool.

Kona - we've got a few girls like that too, I've come across them on myspace and been rather surprised at their dramatic rise in the hotness department.
