"Last fall, Burton introduced Mark XIII, a line of high-end snow apparel sold at peacocky department stores like Saks Fifth Avenue. The line's signature is a series of jackets developed in collaboration with natty British clothier Paul Smith. The most expensive of them is $900."
ok that's just fucking whack.

If burton ever got bought out by Nike I would not, from that day forward, buy anything by them ever again.
- tkmeister0
well, i bet nike wants them so bad.
- jevad0
I'm sure they do!

- tkmeister0

so if nike buy them, i can get a employee discount from you then!
*start making a list of things i want...
- joyride0
tk - if you find something you need, let me know. I can usually get pro-Form on current stuff. Burtons got the worst discount, but most others companies are decent discounts. You got my email addy
PS. I was looking at 4-5 bedroom houses at breckinridge just to price stuff out for the NT RideFEST 2007. And prices were about 200-250/person for 5 days. I don't think thats too bad. Whats a normal price for 5 days around there?

(Aug 4 06, 09:52)"They bought Jeenyus, Forum, Foursquare and Special Blend... what a sad day that was for us... no more free gear, good thing I have like 4 new complete decks and god knows how much new outerwear and 2 pairs of new boots from before it was sold. That should keep me going for awhile.
These 4 brands are now owned by Burton and run under the name The Program.
- jevad0
That sounds about right joyride. Whereabouts in breck was it?
- chz0
"they also sunk gravis.....i mean bought
fooler
(Aug 4 06, 09:55)"Burton started Gravis, they didn't buy them.

(Aug 4 06, 09:59)"They didn't buy Fourstar Distribution, they only aquired their snow brands. Fourstar is the company behind C1RCA and is still owned by the same 2 guys that started it.

jevad,
it was right near town. I think it would be fun to have someplace with some night life. I've never stayed at breck. Only keystone. Breck seemd more fun at night. because it's more like a village and had more bars. Any other suggestions for resort towns that might be fun? Whistlers cool, but don't know if many people would spend the cash to get out there.
- jevad0
Breck is a cool town for that - and it's a lot cheapr than copper or vail but still within driving distance.
Some nice bars and restaurants and chea eats in breck - not so much the other towns. Definately more scope for fucking about.
- joyride0
yeah, i'm thinking if we get 5-10 people we're gonna wanna go fucking about. But then again, i'm usually pretty tired at the end of the day.
never been to vail, but all the others around there. Copper had a really nice park. Way better then than A Basin & keystone. Brecks was well, brecks. But we'll figure it out. I'm kinda leaning towards end of jan for a rough timeline.
